A 1997 batch IAS officer, retired in 2015, Mr Mishra possess commendable amount of working experience across different sectors. He has worked in the department of Finance and looked after expenditure control of more than 40 departments. He has also worked in some of the key departments of the state including Secretariat Administration (SAD), Higher education, National integration and Health & Family Welfare as Secretary. He has been with the planning department, during this period remained as member representing Uttar Pradesh in 4-5 working groups formed by Planning Commission for Finalization of 11th Five-year plan. He was instrumental in developing the 11th Five-year Plan for State of U.P
